NON COMMUNICABLE DISEASES

 To bring awareness of the lifestyle related Non communicable diseases like Diabetes, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, CAD, Stroke, CKD, and their link to risk factors such as Sedentary lifestyle, Poor dietary habits, Obesity and Smoking. Educate regarding lifestyle modifications to prevent, reverse, or delay the progression of the NCDs. Goal of the NCD program is to educate the medical fraternity, schoolteachers, parents about lifestyle related preventable NCDs thereby decreasing the incidence and prevalence. Dr. Hanmanth Rao, M.D, GMC alumnus, has been conducting classes to educate school and college teachers on methods to screen for diseases such as hypertension and diabetes. GMCGA, in association with the alma mater, will support the efforts of Dr. H.Rao.
